How To Get Involved:
Please feel free to contact us via phone or email with any questions you might have about volunteering for an experiment. Once you have decided to participate in an experiment, we will contact you to set up an appointment at your convenience. To thank you for your time and participation, you will receive a small prize such as movie tickets or a gift certificate to a local business.
Currently, our research focuses on college students (over 18) who are native English speakers, however, if this does not apply to you but you would still like to participate, please fill out a contact form on our contact page and we will inform you if/when there are other studies in which you can participate.
What to Expect:
We will ask you do a task such as answering questions about a video clip, naming people or objects, describing objects, producing or completing sentences, recalling sentences or numbers, or doing simple math problems. The experiment should take less than one hour. We will record your experiment using a digital audio recorder so we may study your results later.
We may provide you with a debriefing questionnaire in order to gain insight on your participation in the experiment, as well as answer any further questions you might have about the motivation of the experiment.
If you are driving, we suggest parking on Moore Avenue, as space around Taylor Hall is limited, and walking up Seventh Street toward Taylor Hall. We are located in the basement of Taylor Hall, behind the Career Resource Center and Human Resources building on your right. Our lab is best accessed through the door on the side adjacent to the parking lot.
If you need to locate Taylor Hall, please reference the map of campus found here.
We are located in room 13 in Taylor Hall, the third door on the right from the basement entrance of Taylor Hall.
